Edenderry Nursery School is an independent school in the heart of Kilicomaine, Portadown. We pride ourselves on being a child centred nursery where each and every child is welcomed with open arms and we strive to have each of their needs met.
We offer full time places to 52 children, in their preschool year. We have 2 classes of 26 pupils, each class taught by fully qualified and experienced teachers who have each specialised in the early years. Each class is supported by full time learning assistants and, when required an SEN assistant. Our school day begins at 9am and finishes at 1:30pm with a hot dinner being served for lunch.
Our school is a bright and spacious environment with freedom for the children to choose where to play and when. Our 52 pupils are given free choice of play and have access to 5 learning spaces throughout the session. We have 2 large classrooms with quiet story rooms for each class attached; a 3rd large learning space with it’s very own sandpit in the floor, (it is actually quite like our very own mini beach!) There is a super outdoor learning area, with a mud kitchen, mini jungle, cycle track, garden, climbing equipment and space for physical exercise, and lastly we have our sensory room offering a space for some down time, mindfulness and relaxation.
